Tripura TET
The Tripura Teacher Eligibility Test (T-TET) is a state-level examination conducted by the Teachers’ Recruitment Board, Tripura (TRBT). It serves as the mandatory qualifying benchmark for candidates seeking primary and upper-primary teaching appointments in government and government-aided schools across Tripura.
Key Exam Features
- Two Level Structure:
- Paper I: For candidates aspiring to teach Primary Stage (Classes 1 to 5).
- Paper II: For candidates aspiring to teach Upper Primary Stage (Classes 6 to 8). (Eligible candidates can apply for either or both papers.)
- Language Option:
- Features a dedicated regional language component where candidates can choose between Bengali or Kokborok alongside mandatory English.
- Exam Pattern & Marking:
- 150 Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs) worth 150 marks per paper.
- No negative marking for incorrect answers.
- Duration: 2 hours and 30 minutes.
- Core Subjects:
- Paper I: Child Development & Pedagogy, Language I (English), Language II (Bengali/Kokborok), Mathematics, and Environmental Studies.
- Paper II: Child Development & Pedagogy, Language I (English), Language II (Bengali/Kokborok), and subject-specific streams (Mathematics & Science OR Social Studies).
- Qualifying & Certificate Validity:
- Candidates must secure minimum qualifying marks (60% for General, with 55% relaxation for reserved categories as per state guidelines).
- T-TET qualified certificates hold lifetime validity.
