Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS)
The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) is an autonomous recruitment body operating under the guidance of the Ministry of Finance, Government of India and the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). It conducts centralized recruitment drives through the Common Recruitment Process (CRP) to select qualified graduates for officer, clerical, and technical cadres across 11 Public Sector Banks (PSBs) and various Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) nationwide.

Selection Process & Key Features
Multi-Stage Evaluation: Most officer-level exams consist of three distinct phases: Preliminary Exam (CBT) \ Mains Exam (CBT \ Personal Interview. For clerical roles, selection is determined solely by Preliminary and Mains performance (no interview stage).
Core Subject Areas: Tests general aptitude across Reasoning Ability, Quantitative Aptitude, English Language, General/Banking Awareness, and Computer Knowledge.
Negative Marking Scheme: Standardized across objective computer-based tests, with a deduction of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer.
Participating Nationalized Banks: Punjab National Bank, Canara Bank, Bank of Baroda, Bank of India, Union Bank of India, Indian Bank, UCO Bank, Central Bank of India, Bank of Maharashtra, Indian Overseas Bank, and Punjab & Sind Bank.
